Summary: All Original and Complete Recordings
Comment: All in all, I love it! All the songs advertised on this tape are the original, complete recordings that I have grown to love -- not remakes. It also has a few classical Kermit the Frog Sesame Street segments (for example, the little girl he's with sings "ABCDEF Cookie Monster!") -- though there are just bits and pieces of the Sesame Street News skits. My favorite song on this tape is "Bein' Green". I bought mine at amazon.com a couple of years ago, but not until today did I open it and play it -- I was just too nervous. If you can get this tape -- go for it! A MUST for any serious Sesame Street fan!

Summary: this is so great!
Comment: This is so much fun! My 9-month-old daughter only shows limited interest in the video, but I love it! The songs are awesome -- Caribbean Amphibean absolutely rocks! I can't help smiling every time I hear it. 'I love my elbows' is just too cute. And the skit about selling weather is hysterical. Treat yourself to this!

Summary: Too much pigs - not enough Kermit
Comment: Because I'm such a huge fan of Kermit on Sesame Street, I'd buy this video again if I had to. That being said, it's somewhat disappointing. I was hoping to share Muppet News Flashes with my little boy, but the brief montage is just confusing for someone who's never seen them.I do like the bits where Grover and Kermit talk to the children - nobody does this as well as they do. The little girl saying the alphabet with Kermit is priceless ("A,B,C,D, Cookie Monster!)
The back story for this video isn't bad, either - Grover is selected to honor Kermit as Frog of the Year. Frank Oz is never dull, especially as Grover. The script is pretty threadbare, but, then, it's just an excuse to show the clips.
Many of the full clips are terrific - "I Love My Elbows" is a great spoof of Irving Berlin tunes (and helped my son find his elbows, no less;) "The African Alphabet Song," a stirring new version of the alphabet with Ladysmith Black Mambazzo, a clip with Kermit and Grover the weather salesman, "Tadpole," a terrific song about growing up, "Bein Green," and the finale, "This Frog," a campy Sinatra-style song about self-esteem
If you love Kermit, go ahead and buy this one - but be prepared, It's not everything it could be.

Summary: Fun for kids of all ages
Comment: This was a wonderful look back at my favorite Sesame Street character - Kermit the Frog. It shows some of the funnier clips I remember and some I didn't. My 2-1/2 year old also enjoys watching it over & over again! I definitely recommend it for SS lovers.

Summary: This Great Video is in Memory of Jim Henson
Comment: Jim Henson's greatest and oldest creation has his own video. Steve Whitmire does Kermit in this video but the clips that where shown in the video was Jim Henson. Jim Henson wasn't just the voice for Kermit, He was the hart and soul of Kermit. Jim Henson (Creator of The Muppets) Died at the age of 54 1936 - 1990. In the Song "Frog of the year" When Grover was telling everyone what Kermit wants to thank, the last name he said was " And somebody called Jim ." And we know who that is. This is a great Memory of Jim Henson. This video is not just for 2 yrs , This video is for all fans of Jim Henson's Magic. Great Colletible .
