Comment: I like this book because of the close-to-reality drawings and the flaps, but not my 1-year old. The loudness of the animal sound terrifies him. It's been 3 months that he's had the book and he is still not used to the sound. The loud noise even made him cry.

Comment: I bought this book along with the others in the series and they are my 15 month old's favorites. We got them when he was only 5 months or so and they are great because they grow with the child. You can start with just the sounds and names of the animals, then move up to reading the flaps as they get older. I highly recommend these books!

Summary: My Toddlers Love this Book
Comment: If you want to introduce your children to African animals, this book is for you. My toddlers love lifting the flaps to reveal hidden animals and pressing color-coded buttons to hear what the animals sound like. We have two similar books (Bird Calls and Night Sounds) but this one is much easier for young children to use since the animals are hidden behind flaps rather than pull-tabs. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in helping young children learn about African animals.
