As the Director of Suffolk University Law School s Academic Support Program, Ramy begins receiving phone calls from new 1Ls as early as May. Their common question? "What do I need to do to succeed in law school?" In writing Succeeding in Law School, Ramy answers that question.
Ramy is well aware of the rigorous learning environment that law students face, so he designed each chapter (and its accompanying exercises) to be completed in a modest amount of time. The book incorporates examples, a few cases, hypotheticals, and exercises so that you can practice your new skills and measure your progress.
Whether you are seeking advice in the summer months or are looking for help once the school year has begun, this book is an important tool for helping you get the most out of your abilities.

Customer Rating: Summary: The most helpful guide out there. Comment: Having been given a number of other books on doing well in Law School as gifts by well meaning friends and family, I found a great deal of information out there lacking on how to succeed in a comprehensive fashion. This book, in a clear, straightforward manner sets the proper expectations about what you need to do to make your experience work for you. It cautions you about the workload and competition for grades without scaring you (which some books do) and it provides clear guidelines on how to get and stay organized and focused. I highly recommend this book.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great resource for new law students Comment: During the summer prior to beginning law school, I was very nervous about what to expect and whether I had what it took to succeed. Based on a friend's suggestion, I purchased "Succeeding in Law School" and I could not have been happier. The author discussed everything from time management, to how to read cases, to dealing with law school stress. I finished reading the book before the beginning of my first semester, and I felt well prepared. In fact, I felt like I had an advantage over my classmates. "Succeeding in Law School" had addressed certain ideas and concepts that many of my classmates were hearing about for the first time. As the year progressed, and as my understanding of the law improved, I went back to the book on several occasions to reread sections. Each time I reread a portion of the book, I learned something new
