An example of fine cinematographic craftsmanship by an American genius, Bruce Weber, this fabulous documentary, which I viewed years ago while in medical school, provides an insight into the paradox of Chet's immeasurable musical talent and his descent into the abyss of drug addiction. The cast of "real people" surrounding Chet is magnetic.
