Summary: A Sequel To Pass By...View At Your Own Risk...
Comment: The first two STEPFATHER movies were good, especially the first one, but both were made watchable due to the fine acting of Terry O'Quinn. Now we have all new characters, a lesser actor Robert Wightman who just can't come close to the way O'Quinn portrayed the character, and less sensible killings.
There is more gore and blood to be found in this movie than the first one, almost as much in the second one. While some mildly humorous moments arise and that stepson 'detective' gets something right, albeit it be very little, this passable third installment offers really nothing new that the first two already did.
While I cannot recommend STEPFATHER 3, you must view it on your own terms and decide if it's your cup of tea or not. Personally, I much prefer the STEPFATHER and STEPFATHER 2 over this watchable but less entertaining sequel.

Summary: How Come This Geek Gets To Have Sex With All These HOT Women?
Comment: This is the third installment of this very disappointing so called "Horror/Thriller/Suspense " series. It concerns a Major League Geek and Psychopath who murders his family when they don't turn out to be "perfect " and then he moves on to his next victims. In this series the Geek has managed to have sex with Shelley Hack, Meg Foster and Season Hubley who sadly we do not see often enough in movies these days. This guy DOES have some "Serious Issues " as they say on Oprah because he is always complaining that he has to have sex with all of these gorgeous women. One begins to wonder about the Nature of his guy's sexuality after awhile. Why on Earth these HOT women are attracted to this nerd is a total mystery to me but this guy always seems to get the best looking women.I guess love is blind although that don't explain why lingerie is so popular!!!I give this movie 5 stars because it is redeemed by the presence of Ms. Hubley. Why Kurt Russel divorced her and married Goldie Hawn is another total mystery to me. As you can see Hollywood and it's movies do tend to confuse me very easily. Maybe I should just stick to reading books as has been suggested by some readers of my movie reviews!!!

Summary: I'VE ACTUALLY LIVED THIS MOVIE
Comment: I was with a guy who was struggling for the perfect family, he lied to me of course there were no murders but there are men out here like that just not the killing kind, they prey on single mothers like myself and profess to be a man of god, good job and all, which are all lies and when I tried to kick him to the curb he put up such a good fight, also soon as we had problems, my son saw right thru his games, did he start having relations with another female and her child, looking for th perfect family and this guy was not as old as the guy in the movie he was only 25. Still knowing this movie, I had to get out. Which I think is a good movie, I called this guy the stepfather all the time, but everyone i asked never heard of the movie, so i say by it for a single mother perhaps, it may save her life like it did mines.

Summary: The Classic "Hard to Find" Horror Movie
Comment: This particular movie in the Stepfather series is kind of comical (like part 2). The actor portrays a "dorky" or "square" sort of a guy who is really a psychopath. This crazy guy receives plastic surgery to keep his cover and he moves to some "cornball" suburban neighborhood. He takes a job working as a gardener for some fat, trashy looking dude. Of course, this psychopath does the whole Catholic church bit and tries to be normal and meets a new woman. He eventually marries this woman who also has a son. He tries to connect with the son but the son thinks the guy is a total nerd. Things soon go awry with this new family because Keith the "loony" (main character) has some weird "perfect family" image.
On one of his gardening routes he meets another woman (now we have Keith the "player") where he engages into some more intimate social contact. His boss catches on to this new deal and confronts the psychopath (the dialogue during this scene is absolutely hilarious and eventful). The boss soon realizes he made a mistake when he finds a rake swung into his chest and abdomen simultaneously. He looks like a pansy gardener but is really a vicious killer (what an original idea?!). I am sure you can guess what kind of organic material he uses for growing his flowers!
Anyways, there are a series of events that take place (the priest suddenly found dead, the two woman finding out about each other, the smart stepson on his "sleuthing" adventure, etc.) that all lead to a classic chaotic ending. I am an extreme horror fan and have spanned all elements of gore and mystification(some laced with comical "corniness," such as this flick, without detracting from the psychopathic intensity). This movie pops up in my mind much of the time and is so hard to find...unless your using amazon. Rent it or buy it if you can...you will not be disappointed if your a true horror fan!
