Customer Rating: Summary: aged tape Comment: Beautiful performances, but the tape is too old. The picture is poor. Some of the clips are better than others, none are really good.
Customer Rating: Summary: satisfied Comment: I personally am not much into the older footage of figure skating, because I came into the love of skating around 1992. I remember Kristi Yamaguchi winning the Olympic medal and since then I've been hooked. This tape is ok for me up until the very last 3-4 performances. The joy of viewing Paul Wylie, the sexiness of Underhill and Martini, and the pure joy of watching Brian Boitano skating as beautifully and as purely as the snow capped mountains around him made this purchase worthwhile. Kristi Yamuguchi is always fun to watch also.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fabulous, but Why Oh Why Are These Not Available On DVD? Comment: I recently saw this along with several of the others offered here, from my library.I would purchase them in a split second if they were available on DVD,but no way on a VHS video this old! I was very leery of even checking them out, afraid that they may not even play! I have had that happen a very few times, but I was fortunate that I didn't have trouble with any of them, and it was such a pleasure to see these greats, again. It truly was a wonderful experience, but we need all these offered on DVD,soon,PLEASE!
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Good Tape Comment: Tape for anyone who's an avid figure skating fan. Great skating from some of my favorite skaters; especially Underhill & Martini (in their sexy "Unchained Melody routine) and T&D (although their routine to wasn't my favorite). Robin Cousins' performance to "Satan Takes a Holiday" is brilliant and innovative. G&G's performance was beautiful and romantic....which is a reminder of terrible loss of Grinkov to the skating world. Rest of routines were ok. Brought it used and in v. good condition. Well worth the money!
Customer Rating: Summary: Some magic performances here Comment: Torvill and Dean shine in "You Don't Send Me Flowers," Paul Wylie is great performing to Miss Saigon, and Underhill and Martini have a great routine too, to Unchained Melody. There are some older skaters show here, Robin Cousins, John Curry, Dorothy Hamill and Peggy Fleming, but there is no Michelle Kwan here or Oksana Baiul. If you have a love for some of the older skaters who aren't skating anymore, this video is fine for only a couple of skaters shown in this video are actually performing now days.
