I live in Alaska and during the winter bringing anything hot anywhere is a problem. I love this product because I stick all of the hot packs in the pouch at room temperature for extra insulation. I time it so the food is done right before I am ready to leave and take it out of the oven and put it directly into the carrier. I stick the lid on, zip the carrier up and I'm ready to go. I make it to potlucks with steaming hot food and everyone is impressed and asks where I got my carrier.

Customer Rating: Summary: found a hot pack source Comment: Like others, the hot/cold pack opened up in the microwave and is not useable.I found a company named Roshgo Corporation that makes temperature control products. They sell an item called REACTRO that is a reuable hot gel pack. They also sell one called FREEZEZE which is a gel ice pack refrigerant. You can call toll free- 1-888-4-ROSHGO. They are out of Alpharetta, GA. The product is great if you can get the packs to work.
