Editorial Reviews:

Before there were drip coffeemakers, coffee was brewed in a percolator. Which is better? That's a matter of taste preference. Percolator supporters believe that the percolation process delivers more pure taste. They believe that some of the natural oils and flavonoids of the beans are lost when filtered in a drip coffeemaker. This product is for those who favor the percolator. 1000 watts 110-120 Volts AC (includes power cord)

Customer Rating: Summary: Makes great coffee. Comment: I bought this coffee maker about 8 months ago and have used it almost every day since. It makes consistently excellent coffee, hotter and MUCH fresher tasting than any automatic drip I've ever had. It is no harder than an automatic drip maker to clean and you don't have to deal with soggy filters. In fact, usually I make coffee in the morning and wash the percolator at night and actually ENJOY cleaning the percolator because it's all stainless steel and easily gets cleaner than the plastic parts of an auto-drip. Part of it is because you can actually hand wash every surface the water and coffee will touch, unlike the plastic reservoirs you dump water into on an auto-drip. I actually get cravings for coffee at night while I'm cleaning it and look forward to the morning when I can brew another pot. When I periodically clean it with Dip It cleaner for percolators, it's like having a brand new percolator. To sum up: FRESH, delicious coffee!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great two cups of coffee. Comment: The farberware FCP240 Electric Percolator is perfect for anyone having limited space and do not require
large amounts of coffee. I envision it to be great for those with RV's also. It makes very good coffee and
is compact in size.
Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect for Singles Comment: There is something special about perked coffee. It's not that it's stronger but more FLAVORFUL. I've lived with drip coffee makers because they are the only type you can find if you only want a single mug of coffee - but I've always complained about the drip process. This coffee pot is perfect. It gives me just one mug of flavorful coffee and it is easy to clean to boot!
Customer Rating: Summary: I'm percolating! Comment: I love my electric percolator. It bangs away for a few minutes while the warm coffee aroma wafts up through the spout. Unlike a glass carafe, it pours perfectly, no drips. The coffee flavor is smoother than my other coffee maker and doesn't shut off until I unplug it. However, one day I forgot to do that. Whoops.
I feel like my mother 30 years ago when I remember her making my father's coffee for him in the morning.
I'm thinking about buying a bigger one.......
Customer Rating: Summary: Dangerous, and leaves grounds Comment: We bought this coffee maker based on the reviews, after our old electric coffee maker died following many years of problem-free use. We liked the appearance and size of the Farberware and decided to give it a try (got a really good deal at a major department store because of a coupon). Unfortunately, this coffee maker has several major problems. First, after you've made your coffee, when you remove the lid (which snaps on VERY tightly), the "spreader" (small basket) that fits over the larger basket in which your coffee rests flies out of the machine. We tried removing the lid a couple of different ways, but it made no difference. This is dangerous, because there's very hot water on the spreader--plus, it makes a mess. Second, there were coffee grounds in the bottom of our pot after each brewing. Not a huge deal, but still a nuisance. Finally, cleaning the pot is a bit of a pain--you have to be sure not to get the plug area wet, so, since the pot is attached, you have to wash very carefully. After a couple of tries with this coffee pot we returned it. Definitely not recommended--a hazard and a pain.
