Be aware, this is not the normal large size of men's watches. I saw that when I purchased and thought that I would be fine since many watches for men seem much too large to me, but it is much smaller than expected. It is however a reasonable size, and I have gotten used to it and now really like it. The color of the band seems to be some sort of purple color, and the face is a blue. I like the blue, but would have preferred the band be black like my last Timex Ironman. Overall, I would recommend this, particularly for people with smaller hands. It is easy to use and figure out, the date, day display, and alarm always come in handy, and doing splits are easy with the start and split button combined on top of the watch. The reason why I like this watch over the other ironman watches is that its wristband isn't as big as the others. It makes wearing the watch a lot less noticeable to feel.
