Summary: A Remarkable Film About Living With HIV
Comment: The film begins with two characters, Tom and Dan, out at a bar. Dan takes Tom home for a rendezvous and potentially for a little gay lovin'. However, Dan soon finds out that Tom has something else up his sleeve other than just foolin' around. Tom really took him home to find out about Dan's HIV status. Why? Because Tom recently found out that he has HIV and wants to find out whether he got it from Dan, who was Tom's first gay lover many years back, and of course it takes a while for Dan to remember any of this and he still can't remember any details about it. Yet Dan insists that he always has safe sex, but Tom doesn't believe him. So Tom binds Chris up, draws his blood, and sends the sample out through a mail-back HIV testing service so he can find out Chris's HIV status a few days later. Meanwhile, while Dan is waiting to get the results back, Dan keeps Chris kidnapped at his apartment and tied up against a sofa as well as hand-cuffed, and Tom threatens to kill Dan if the test comes back positive.

But Dan, the guy who's kidnapped, says there's no way he's HIV positive and tries to convince Tom that he got it from someone else, perhaps even his late wife. While all this is happening, the two men find out a lot about each other. However, it is a very tense situation because Dan believes he has been unfairly kidnapped and wants to leave, making several attempts to escape.

"24th Day" is an above average gay film, with flashbacks, suspense, and commentary about gay life and living with HIV.

Summary: Gay Thriller Movie -- decent
Comment: This was an oddly weird but attractive movie where you have to carefully follow the plot but still may get turn around. It's a very simple movie basically set in one main location but the movie jumps around to different times and places to explain the story. I would recommend it (since I did watch in twice in a row to pass the time) but I would say that you really need to watch it closely if you want to understand the plot. One of the options for tagging this review was "Male Full frotnal Nudity"? I guess I need to watch it again!

Summary: Postmodern Parable Displaying Traditional Certitudes
Comment: A filmed play. Well acted, angst riddled tome on the consequences of 'innocent' lies that are 'required' to navigate in todays world.

Summary: Payback Time
Comment: Interesting in an age where we are still not sure who is at fault but we can certainly find others to blame for our predicaments. In the end, your still not sure who caused the illnesses but you are left thinking about what could have been done to prevent it and all the tragedy
