Summary: Softens but doesn't moisturize. Smells great though.
Comment: Marshall's had this Au Lait handwash marked down on clearance. It smelled so great that I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed with the result. To its credit, the milk agent does a fine job softening my hands but does nothing to moisturize them. I usually need some lotion afterwards to take the dryness out.
I checked out the ingredients and didn't find much by the way of moisturizing agents. Especially as compared to the ingredients in Softsoap, which has glycerin, hydrolyzed silk, and aloe included. I am surprised that this more "designer" soap doesn't measure up to good ol' grocery store Softsoap--which I had wanted to replace with something "nicer".
I like this handwash enough so I will continue to use it. But unless I find it at a really good price, I'm not sure I'd buy it again. I don't mind using lotion after every hand wash but I'd rather not have to.
