MAX & RUBY: SPRINGTIME FOR MAX & RUBY features 12 new episodes, including "Max’s Chocolate Chicken" (when Max and Ruby go on a chocolate egg hunt in the backyard they both find more than they bargained for) and "Ruby’s Beauty Shop" (when Louise comes over to show Ruby her Deluxe Beauty Kit Max wants to play too, but Ruby insists a Beauty Parlor is no place for Max).

Summary: Terminal Sweetness
Comment: Although adults will surely have many questions (ex: Where are Max and Ruby's parents? Why does Ruby's giggle make you want to take a baseball bat to the TV? etc.), this show seems to have an almost hypnotic appeal for toddlers. My three-year-old loves it and has practically worn out her copy. I feel quite confident recommending it for very young children. However, I also feel obligated to warn everyone else to leave the room while it's playing. Repeated viewing may cause adult-onset diabetes and/or severe tooth loss.
Or, as in my case, plain, old insanity.

Summary: Our First Max & Ruby
Comment: This was our first Max & Ruby video. It was an absolute hit for my toddler & preschooler. The Beauty Shop shows Max's troubles with Ruby. Max Drives Away shows Max venturing out by hisself. My preschooler's favorite is Max misses the Bus. This a good family video for young children.

Summary: My grandsons love it!
Comment: I'm not sure what the magic is about Max and Ruby but my grandsons (2 and 3) are in love with these two characters. Maybe because Max just makes sense to them! This video was included in their Easter baskets. Better than all that candy.

Summary: Great DVD for 4 year olds!
Comment: I bought this DVD for my daughters 4th birthday and she loves it! She watches it over and over again. For some reason Max & Ruby really appeals to her at this age. I have to admit that the stories are really good at teaching manners and behavior and I also enjoy listening to the program as it plays for her. The only "bad" thing I would say is that at times my daughter tries to emulate Max who is the "bad" little brother in the program, but his antics are harmless.
