Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect Comment: I did not try Proactive because of the high price, then I saw ancefree and was skeptical because of its low price and claim to be better then proactive. I bought a pack to try it. It does work and it does work quick. 2-3 days for for quick results. I good if you get a break out and need quick clean up. I will keep using his product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Ok Comment: I had mild acne on my face and shoulders. The acne on my face was all over except my forehead. It was usually just red mark without a white or black head and sometimes very painful, deep zits on my chin. I have spent most of my teenage years fighting my face, using every face wash, gel and cleaner known to man (Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, etc). Nothing works, especially salicyclic acid. Benzoyal Peroxide works to keep it at bay, but it seemed like the same red acne just sits on my face.
So when I was 18, I got a perscription for minocycline oral anitbiotic. It was amazing: the results were immediate and my face looked fantastic. I had confidence. But I was hella dizzy in the morning after taking it, and it didn't wear off until a few hours later. I decided to stop taking it. I used proactiv to maintain the results for a month and it was amazing. I had no breakouts and my face stayed clear. But my wallet is not a bottomless pit. Proactiv is expensive.
So I went to Walgreens--my favorite store--and saw this. The price was hard to bead (half of what proactiv costs) and it looked cute. I thought it was worth a try. The Repair lotion was great for my shoulders, it worked the whole time I was on the system. I broke out after a stressful internship and I thought perhaps the system would do as it said: clear up my skin. I wanted it to work. But my face was a mess. Then I transferred colleges and broke out all over my upper lip and chin. The system still didn't work. So after two/three months I gave up. Now I have a topical anitbiotic which seems to work and is clearing up my face.
If you have a clear face and don't forsee stress breakouts, use this system. It is better for body acne than facial acne. Better than proactiv? No, in terms of its ability to ward off acne but yes in terms of price and quantity. Otherwise, just pay the 50 bucks for proactiv or get a topical anitbiotic.
Customer Rating: Summary: it works Comment: It keeps acne under control. the only problem is the first soln is used up slower than the other two.
Customer Rating: Summary: Try the trial size first Comment: I never heard of AcneFree until I saw the trial size pack at Bed Bath Beyond. It only cost a dollar, so I decided to buy it. I was skeptical, but I was impressed when I saw visible results in less than a week. Keep in mind that I don't have severe acne, but I have bad breakouts on my forehead. Therefore, if your conditon is worse, results might take more time.
I used the products twice a day as directed, but my skin became flaky on some areas. I simply reduced the usage to once a day.
Its true that your pillowcase and face towels may lose color while using AcneFree. The website explains that the product contains peroxide. The box has a warning that it can fade fabrics.
I would suggest buying the trial pack before buying the full sized version just in case you decide that AcneFree is not for you. It could save you money and frustration.
I like that this is available at retail pharmacies, Target, and Wal-Mart.
Customer Rating: Summary: Dried out my skin Comment: This stuff totally dried my face out, even with the lotion, I wouldn't recommend it.
