The bronze colored beads are made of nothing more than plastic with a colored coating on them that chips right off. The quality of the workmanship is not bad...but the materials are definitely not of a quality that I would wear out of the house. The item can be found on the NVie Website for $9.99...there is no way that this or any other NVie item could have been originally priced at close to $50...as Amazon claims. I have terriffic luck with Amazon products...but this one was definitely a "downer" and I hope to be refunded.
