Customer Rating: Summary: For display too Comment: Finally, elegant meets practical. When this is not in the oven or refrigerator, it sits on the bar side of the kitchen island with something in it. Citrus, seasonal, etc., I just did not want to put this in a cabinet. Pyrex reached a new higher level. Customer Rating: Summary: Very sturdy, Good Price, and Great Service from amazon. Comment: I plan to use this bowl to store sourdough starter in my fridge when not in use. It just arrived and looks perfect for that. So far, I'm very pleased with all the pyrex wares I've bought. Prices simply can't be beat and the quality is supurb. Glass is nice and heavy. The bowl is well balanced and has a sturdy feel to it. I suspect it could survive a drop of 2-3 feet alright, but be careful as it is glass after all.
When I ordered this in a small shipment of pyrex goods, I recieved the wrong item by mistake. I contacted amazon, and within a few hours recieved an email apologizing and stating that they would immediately ship a replacement (and that I had 30 days to return the incorrect item using a postpaid shipping slip I can print out off of amazon). The bowl arrived the next day. All it all it was less than 24 hours between the time my email was read and I recieved the bowl. Kudos to amazons support.
