Customer Rating: Summary: good bye cold sores Comment: I have too many annoying coldsores in the late fall and early winter every year. They rarely develop into a cold, but they cause pain (particularly when eating salty food) for a week or so. In the month that I have been brushing my teeth with squiggle, I have had the beginnings of 1 cold sore, but it went away in a day. Coincidence? Perhaps, but I'm not switching toothpaste! It's a very mild flavor- if you want that burning 'just brushed feeling' you will need to supplement with a mouthwash.
I ordered 2 tubes, and gave one to my 22 yr old daughter that suffers from a 'geographic tongue.' Her toungue becomes her barometer for when her immune system is under attack. She has a burning sensation all over her tongue when she is fighting a cold, has drunk too much coffee, or has stayed up too late for too many nights in a row to study for finals, etc. Her tongue actually takes on the look of a world map in pink and white - it's the weirdest thing - and very painful. Her uncle also has this, so I guess it's hereditary. Anyway, she also reports that she has had no outbreaks since swithching to squiggle a month ago.
