The drip tray allows easier water drainage, while the snap-on cup holders keep them secure. Customer Rating: Summary: Wow. Comment: Fantastic. Unpacked it and couldn't stop thinking, "Wow."
Solid, big without being overbearing. Can't really see how well the holder for silverware drains in the picture, but even though it hangs over the edge of the base, the bottom is tilted so it drains over the base and thus to the sink. There are retractable feet like on the bottom of a keyboard, so you can raise up the edge farthest away from the sink to facilitate draining. And the small half circle extension spout makes the water drain far enough away from the whole unit without it having to hang over the edge of the sink itself.
VERY well designed and I can't wait to start using it tonight because I was so fed up with the little piece of junk plastic thing I used to have.
Worth every penny and a few more. No longer do I have to do plates first then silverware (old one if you filled silverware first, would tip the whole unit into the sink).
Customer Rating: Summary: WOW! Comment: I cursed my Rubbermaid dish rack daily for years because our wooden handled steak knives and other utensils continually fell out of the top of the cutlery container. I even wrote the company to suggest they spend a penny or two more and make that basket deeper, but to no avail! Finally, I turned to Amazon.com who has all things wonderful, including honest and detailed reviews, and found this marvelous dish rack. I, too, balked at paying the price for this item and, had it not been for the great reviews, I would have passed on it. I am so glad I listened to the reviewers. Wow, what a great purchase! I can arrange the rack in different directions and configurations, and the knife rack/cutlery area is perfect. Water drains easily and accurately from the tray, and all components are easy to disassemble and clean. The dish area is great and holds various sizes and thicknesses of plates, bowls, etc. upright with ease. We use both our dishwasher and dish rack almost daily, and so far, this dish rack has proved to be one of the best buys I have ever made. In fact, I am purchasing another. Thanks to the reviewers for your honest comments, and thanks to Amazon.com for having the very best selection of products and prices of any online or department store.
Customer Rating: Summary: very good dish rack Comment: this is one of the best stainless steel dish rack, other than cost little bit high no ther issues.
Customer Rating: Summary: Worth the money Comment: I was a little hesitant to spend so much on a dishrack. However, after reading other reviews and knowing that Simplehuman makes great products, I bought it on Amazon. It was cheaper on here than in stores like Bed, Bath & Beyond. I have had it for over two weeks and I wash dishes several times a day. I stay home with two young kids-so you can imagine. I love absolutely everything about it. The water drains perfectly down the spout (I use the legs to put it on an incline too). The plates sit great and don't fall down. And overall it looks nice in the kitchen and stays clean. I would definitely invest in this product if you will be doing dishes on a regular basis and want a quality product that will last.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Comment: I don't like to admit I've paid $50 for a dish rack, but this was well worth the money. I don't have a dishwasher in my apartment, and am cooking all the time. This holds an incredible amount of dishes and pots and pans. Great compartments for knives/silverware. Just be careful with the glass holders. I put two wine glasses on them and with the slightest bump, they crashed to the floor.
