Customer Rating: Summary: Big Brother Comment: Big Brother is not only watching, but now they want control of your purchases as well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Spore Review - Mixed Opinions Comment: Spore was first heard of way back in 2005. Back then, the video shown had far more bits in it then what was included in the released version. It promised so much and we got so little. The game seems to have been "dumbed down" and "stupefied" for the mass market (makes it more for The Sims audience then true gamers).
One believes they are holding back certain aspects (Like plant-creator, swimming-phase, etc) for an expansion to make more money.
The early stages are a bit short and last stage is too long. However, Spore still an enjoyable game as it is. It's nice to fly around and meet your other saved games!
I would recommend the game if you are thinking of buying it, however don't base all your hopes on old videos of the game, they are almost two different games.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not bad, but gets boring after a few times. Comment: Delivery was generally fast, not as fast as I would've liked but it didn't take 2 weeks. The game itself tends to freeze at some parts & my computer exceeds all the requirements but I'm hoping that they will have some patches to fix it soon.
Customer Rating: Summary: Avoid this game! Comment: Of the 5 levels, I was able to play only the first two levels, before the game refused to start again. I uninstalled/reinstalled twice, but it simply wouldn't run again. My guess is the DRM must have screwed up the game. I returned my copy.
Customer Rating: Summary: DRM??? Too bad! Killed a sale. Comment: I too was ready to purchase this game. After trying out the Creature Creator, I thought the concept was a fresh idea. It's a crying shame that EA put so many stipulations on the installation and usage. I can't in good conscience purchase something with such anti-pirating crap. I'm not a thief, and I don't agree with EA's views on how this software is being distributed with such limitations. I thought this was America. My apologies to Wil, but I would ask for a bane against this type of software security tactic.
