Customer Rating: Summary: Use a terry cloth instead. Comment: I like the swiffer itself, but the cleaning pads are expensive (and not very environmentally friendly). I found that using a cheap terry cloth works just as well as these new pads. I just throw the cloth in the washer once i'm done. Endlessly reusable.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not as good as before. I'm switching to something else. Comment: I thought it was me when I was using the Swiffer a few months ago. I thought the pads got thinner and it was not cleaning up the floor as good as it used to. Well, it wasn't my imagination. Other people here see the same thing. The pads definitely are thinner and don't pick up as well as they used to. I remember the old pads seemed to be twice as thick and picked up everything. Now when I use the WetJet, I can still pick up dirt and dust with a wet papertowel after using the Swiffer. I'm switching to the thick re-usable pads I've heard about and will give them a try. Swiffer Wetjet pads just aren't doing the job they used to do, especially for about $1 a pad.
Customer Rating: Summary: I'd use this before dragging out the old mop n bucket!!! Comment: It might be a little costly, but it's very easy to put on a pad and quickly clean the floor. I can use one pad for the kitchen and bathrooms. You may need to use more than one if your area is large. I'd rather use this than drag out a large bucket, slosh dirty mop water around and then have to dump it out. I did hear it isn't safe for pets, we don't have any so I suppose it is ok on our floors. It helps to use the Swiffer Sweeper to pick up small particles before using the wetjet pads.
Customer Rating: Summary: Product is not what it used to be Comment: I used to love these but P& G has replaced the pads with an inferior product. The pads leave heavy very dull streaks on my floor. I contacted customer service who I informed of the problem and to check the complaints on the internet. While she was nice she said she had no time for this since customer service was currently overwhelmed by complaints (ya think?). She said i could mail back the unused boxes and get my money back, like i have time for this nonsense. Also this has a Goodhouse Keeping seal of approval, that's a joke. I am back to an old-fashioned mop. Also a closer examination of the box says it isn't safe for my pet !!! My advice is save your money.
Customer Rating: Summary: System getting way too expensive to use... Comment: I have had this system for about six months now and it is nice in that it keeps your hands out of dirty mopping water....BUT by the time you buy the starter kit and have to replace the cleaning pads and the cleaning solution frequently it is beginning to be too costly to use and their price seems to be increasing all the time. P&G is making big money off of replacement pads and solution.
