The DUALjack is a wireless extension of the telephone jack and plugs into any standard power outlet. The DUALjack has a built-in feature to ensure that voice calls initiated from any telephone in the house are given priority over modem/data calls initiated via a DUALjack Extension unit. The Intercom capability is useful in situations where there are two or more Extension units in the house. The Intercom function is disabled when any Extension unit is engaged in a call with the outside telephone line. If a telephone attached to an Extension unit is engaged in a voice call with the outside telephone line, a barge-in tone will be heard on that phone when a second Extension unit goes off-hook. Up to two Extension units can be joined together with the outside line at any one time. Summary: RTX Dual jack works
Comment: After reading multiple reviews here at amazon, i decided to buy the RT Dual Jack and it sure didn't disappoint. Like others i got mine to avoid the dish satellite connectivity fee. Setup is instant and with caller-id enabled, i can see who's calling in my TV set. Receiver Jack is 1 floor and 30 feet away and there is no issue in signal. Highly recommended.

Summary: Does exactly what it is designed to do
Comment: I purchased this to set my wife up with a corded phone in a temporary office location. It was simple to setup, just plug one unit in the wall by a phone jack and plug the phone line in. Plug the other one near where you need the phone and plug in your phone. Easy! It worked immediately and I cannot tell the difference in line quality from being plugged directly in the phone jack. I made this selection after reading many reviews and this prodcut seemed the most stable and reliable. A little more expensive but I would say well worth it.
