The iPod classic features an updated design on the digital media player you already know and love. Some of the new bits include a sleek all-metal enclosure, a massive increase in storage space, a thinner body, and a brand-new user interface featuring Cover Flow. Cover Flow allows you to easily browse through your music collection by flipping through each album's cover art using the Click Wheel. When you find the album you want, you can flip it over for the track listing. Just like you'd do with a real CD or vinyl. Customer Rating: Summary: The Best MP3 Player Comment: I was a little cautious about ordering the i Pod after reading some of the negative reviews. But, it is the largest hard drive on the market and I need the storage room. So, I placed the order and crossed my fingers.
It works great. I am syncing it to an HP Vista Home Premium notebook with 3 megs of memory. Syncing is fast and accurate. The movies and TV shows look great. Sound quality is outstanding and the battery life is beyond any other MP3 player I have used.
In short, an outstanding product that delivers flawlessly.
Customer Rating: Summary: My first IPod ...I am enjoying. Disapointed with the noncompatiblity Comment: My first IPod ...I am enjoying. Disapointed with the noncompatiblity with other docks and the expense of adapters to use with video.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great transaction Comment: I received the ipod in one week and it is in great condition. Great service from Amazon. Thanks a lot.
Customer Rating: Summary: First IPod, Good but a couple of drawbacks. Comment: The product is good but it is a little hard to navigate. Like the volume when listening. Also, the screen scratched really easy.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not Compaible with older MAC OS Comment: I'm sure someone else has written this as there are 685 other reviews, but I neglected to read the fine print on OS requirements -- and this new Classic will not operate on my perfectly fine MAC OS 10.3.9 -- which means I am bascially forced to upgrade to Leopard. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's an extra $129 I had not planned on just to use an IPOD. (My old IPOD -- which died, ran fine on my old OS.)
