Summary: Point it anywhere.
Comment: The fact that this remote is bluetooth has be its best feature. No need to point it at the PS3. If you are going to be using your PS3 as a Blu-Ray player it is the only way to go. Using a controller or buying one of the other remotes that uses infrared is just a waste. This controller has everything you need to control your movie. My only complaint would be that it is all black. This makes it hard to find the buttons in the dark. But I have the same problem with some of my other remotes that have colored buttons.
For those complaining about not having a power button. You DO have a power button. It works the same as a controller. Its called PS Button, Enter(X), Enter(X). You should be used to it from using your controllers to turn of the PS3.

Comment: It's worth the purchase price. Using the PS3 wireless game controller can be a bit cludgy and does not have all of the features that the remote controller does. It is an extra remote control, but definitely handy to have around.

Comment: I read a few bad reviews about this product, but over all, I have to say it's very well designed. Set up was simple, and the lay out of the buttons makes sense. If you have a PS3, and plan on watching movies on it, it makes all kinds of sense to buy this.
