Comment: Radar detection is very good for the price. However, it does not detect all lasers, which is what got me (there was no signal). You need to pay the big bucks to get good laser detection. All other radar detection works very well with plenty of time to react.

Summary: Whistler Radar detector
Comment: We used this device on a long trek across the USA. It did not detect any legitimate threats. It sounded many false alarms when passing near road construction but missed real threats from police cars who had pulled cars over to the side. So, I don't really know how to rate it as it did not help us at all. Perhaps all detectors would do the same, but given this experience, I would not buy this device again

Comment: This dectector is a great value, sensistivity is better than my escort I use in my other car, blue light provides good alert in both day and night time lighting conditions, warning tone is good too. Very good shipment turnaround by Amazon and very competitive market price. Windshield mount works fine on my new corvette and the thin wire enables me to run a simple wire up the dash hugging and concealing the wire most of the way up the dash in a small seam in the dashboard. Recommend this as a best buy! Have taken some nice weekend trips with good alert response in both highway and local settings.

Comment: It has been years since I experienced a detector and I was pleasantly surprised at the difference. I keep it on Highway most of the time and get very little interference from banks, ATM machines, etc. I am glad I made the purchase.
