The only downside is that it just isn't long enough. It covers me up fine but I am short. It'd be nice if it was longer so it can be wrapped around. It washes well and is still as soft as the day I got it. There was a lot of fuzz that floated everywhere when it was new but after the first wash it wasn't a problem. They aren't very large, but they are SO comfy! I have washed ours a couple times and we haven't experienced any problems with shedding, and they are just as soft as they were the first day I took them out of the package. The texture/feel is a little different, and some people may not like it. I purchased the cream color, and it is a real cream color - depending on the lighting in the room (sometimes appearing offwhite like the picture on this website, and sometimes having a slight golden tinge to them). The next time they're on sale I'll most likely buy some more to give away as gifts. I had low expectations for the quality of this throw, but boy was I wrong! I can't wait until it goes on sale again so I can buy a few more for myself and some for gifts! I've washed it several times now and it looks as good as it did when it arrived. It is very warm and fuzzy and has quickly become the favorite blanket in the house. Some nights I even took it to bed with me to put on top of my comforter for some extra weight & warmth. Just make sure you wash or dry it in the dryer when it initially arrives - ours had a weird WD40-like smell when it came out of it's packaging, but that went away after drying with several damp dryer sheets.
