Summary: Microsoft Money Plus Home and Business
Comment: I have used Microsoft Money for many years. I ordered Microsoft Money Plus Home and Business to upgrade my current version, Money 2003. If you want to organize your finances in one place and have the power to plan for the future, this is the product for you. The automatic secure online backup and integration with Microsoft Passport are two of my favorite features. Other features include sections for Investing (with live stock price tracking, etc.), Reports, Taxes, and Planning, to name a few. This version of Money is even more user-friendly than previous versions, which were already excellent as they were, in my opinion.

Comment: Works well, its cheap. Only comes with 2 years of online support. Keep that in mind. so your going to have to buy it again for it to auto update your accounts.
Monthly income/expense report is a great way to see where you stand financially.
Lost a star because it only has 2 years of "supported" automated online bank updating.

Summary: can't install-Money Home/Business
Comment: I have spent 2 hours troubleshooting why this program will not install and another 2 hours on the phone with a Microsoft tech, who couldn't figure it out either. They said that this problem is common, yet they don't have answers. They were suppose to escalate the ticket to a supervisor, but no one has contacted us yet (after 2 weeks!!).
Still not able to use the program and it is delaying my personal and business financial planning. Don't know what to do next.

Comment: So, after using Microsoft Money Plus Home and Business, I found it to be a rather robust program. The reporting methods, categorizing, connections into the financial institutions, etc. are excellent. I have been a user of both quicken (for business) and money (for personal) for years. I am glad they have finally merged the two properly.
It meets the needs of my small business as well as my personal finance and investments. I would recommend to anyone.
As for the review from C:
I am finding the user rating system on Amazon becoming less and less useful by the day. Charles gives the software a bad rating, not because of his experience with the functionality of the product, but the time line in which the BETA and the production version were released. There are reasons why they call it BETA and you should have known the risks prior to using it as a production software. Just because Microsoft didn't release the final version prior to your BETA trial running out, you mark the software with 1 star. As for the claim that it doesn't let you convert the data to Quicken or Money 2006 is flat out wrong, I have been able to do both (I guess that must have been one of the features not available in the BETA version). Additionally, why are you writing a review on here if you haven't purchased the FULL VERSION of the product. In actuality, you didn't use the software on which you are reviewing, you were using a BETA version.
Finally, I am tired of hearing users complain about MS and how Vista and Office 2007 are bad products just because they weren't adept enough to figure it out and were unwilling to hit the F1 key and read. Enough of my rant, hopefully others are getting sick of this on these reviews as well.

Summary: Money Plus Trashes Your Data
Comment: Microsoft Money Plus Home and Business
I switched from Money 2006 to Money Plus last year when only the beta version was available. When it was almost time for the beta version to expire, I tried to buy the new program. Unfortunately it was not yet for sale, nor would it be for several months. When the beta expired, the program was only good for viewing data. The new data format of Money Plus made it impossible to export the data to Quicken or back to Money 2006. I was left with the choices of (1) going back to Money 2006 and manually inputting all the data since I switched to Plus, (2) not using any accounting software while I waited for Money Plus to become available, (3) switch to Quicken. Since I was starting over anyway, I decided that was a good time to switch to Quicken.
Like an earlier reviewer, I have other issues with Microsoft (which used to be my favorite software company). Office 2007 Pro has a totally unfamiliar interface and Outlook 2007 is the most unstable program I've ever used, even after upgrading XP to SP3 and Office to SP1. Bill Gates needs to go back to work and fix his company.
