Summary: Very nice Navigon Case
Comment: I've had this product for about a week now. I use it for my Navigon 7100. I like this case. It is very well made. I like the exterior and interior colors and finish. It fits my Navigon perfectly. I want to clarify the 3 issues other reviewer's have raised. 1) One reviewer had said that the chain has scratched his GPS. I don't think it is even possible. The case opens quite wide and there is ample room to remove or put in the GPS without touching the chain. 2) Some people have said it is not hard-shell. Well, looks like they expected it to be made of steel and it is not. It's made of leather, and is hard enough to protect the contents. I still consider it to be a hard-shell. 3) One reviewer said it has a very strong unpleasant smell. Again, I did not find that to be true. It is made of processed leather, so it has some smell. But the smell goes away in a day or two. I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it to others.

Comment: The zipper puller got off the first time I pulled it. They used a very, very cheap zipper in this product.

Summary: Common Sense Case
Comment: For the small cost of the item I am delighted with the case for my Navigon 7100 GPS. It is "hard" enough for the protection it needs provided you don't run your car over it or give it to a child to play with. It allows much better protection than the "soft" case that is sold.

Comment: I admit it, I have a nose like a bloodhound but this carrying case has a very strong plastic smell to it. Sans the odor issue, it's a nice, well made case. It's not a "hard" case, there is some "give" but it does a good job of protecting the GPS unit.

Summary: Case for Magellan 4250
Comment: I bought the Navigon 4.3 Protective hard case for my Magellan 4250, fits perfect, keeps it from being squashed, doesn't take up much room in my purse which allows me to take my GPS with me everywhere. I love it! AND, it's not obvious, thick like some other carriers and was reasonably priced.
