Comment: Fantastic machine. it really speeds up work flow if you want to send out documents in pdf to others. you can take another party's document and scan it and immediately convert it to a word document and it is very precise or you can make it into a slide for a powerpoint presentation instantly. it will open up your outlook program if you ask it to scan to email and attach the document as a pdf attachment you can rename. very cool product. only technical issue is when you load the product software you may need to do a driver upgrade on it through the web to make it work but that is not hard. amazon is very competitive on price on this item. i have other scanners that are twain and isis compatible and this scanner is not but for what i will use this scanner for it is not a problem at all.

Comment: I have previously owned a flatbed scanner. This scanner is so simple to operate and the quality is wonderful. This equipment is a "keeper". Set up was simple and quick.

Summary: This scanner is incredible.
Comment: I really love my new scanner. It was expensive, but worth it. I scan everything that comes across my desk, and I even scan all of my magazines so I can recycle them once I've given them a first read. I just slice the binding off with a utility knife and straight edge, and feed the whole magazine into the scanner. It will jam occasionally, but most magazines go through without a hitch.
Bank statements and documents work great. I do wish it was TWAIN compliant, so I could scan into Quicken directly, but I just scan a document and then import the PDF.
I got the bundle, but I'm not a big fan of Rack2Filer. I like having PDF's that I can sort as files. I use the built in software, and sort by folders. Seems to be working well so far. I keep waiting for new stuff to come in the mail so I can scan it and get rid of it.

Summary: best scanner ever
Comment: I have owned this scanner for several years. I am now buying two more for my business because I have multiple locations and I want to try the Rack Filer software.
First of all the unit has a very small foot print on the desk. Then, it is so simple to use. Just place your pages to be scanned on the unit and press the green buttin and voila, you have a .pdf. This has chnaged how we store documents completely.
As a warning the save option will default to your My Picture folder. Be very careful.

Comment: Seldom does an item do what is sez it will but from the moment I installed the software and plugged it in, I was impressed.
Some software updates will not download but it has not seemed to be a major drawback.
