Summary: So glad that I decided to upgrade to this cover!
Comment: While I love my Kindle, I was always dissatisfied with the cover that comes with it. I had occasional problems with the Kindle coming loose - the notch sometimes just didn't seem to hold it in place. A friend told me about this cover, and I waffled for a while - I was hesitant to put out this much money for a cover.
But, now that I did, am I ever glad! It's such an improvement - it holds the Kindle securely, with no way that I can see that the Kindle could fall out of the cover. I saw a review where someone didn't like the way the cover folds back - I actually like this one better. It extends a little past the Kindle, giving you something to grab instead of accidentally pushing the page next button. And the leather strap can be bent backwards to hold the cover in place.

Summary: So glad I succumbed!
Comment: I resisted buying this product for a very long time, but I finally succumbed. I am so glad I did! It is SO much better than the original cover. It holds the Kindle securely and is made of a nice leather. I ordered the red cover, too, because I wasn't sure which one I would like better. The saddle cover is a nicer leather (the red is a splotchy red while the saddle is a consistently textured tan). I'm keeping the saddle and sending the red one back!

Summary: Very unimpressive product...
Comment: I bought the red leather cover as a surprise for my wife (we both have Kindles, and love them!) and this one for myself, but -- unfortunately, I was the one surprised.
The stitching on this one is slightly better than on the red one (which is why this one has two stars intead of the one star I that that the red cover earned)but is still somewhat sloppy. Worse, like the red one, it has an odd smell. Instead of a rich aroma of leather, it emits an odor of cheap vinyl, and is actually rather offensive.
This, combined with the fact that I believe that it is overpriced by a factor of about two, I am very disappointed. I'm having a custom cover made by a leathersmith, and I've given this one to my dogs as a chew toy.

Summary: My second cover...love them both...great product
Comment: I own the red leather version of this cover and love it and even gave one as a gift to my sister-in-law and fellow Kindler. Being a 'fashionista', I decided I needed a change of dressing for my Kindle for Fall. I bought the saddle leather cover and am so pleased with it. There are things about it that I like even better than the red leather. The red leather is soft, smooth and shiny - really beautiful. The saddle is slightly textured and a more matte finish - very rich looking. The spine is stronger than the red one made out of softer leather and the whole thing seems more sturdy for everyday use. Aside from looks, the cover is well made and holds the Kindle so securely there is no worry of it falling out.
I will warn you that it is a little hard to get the Kindle in it at first but the leather softens up a little with use like a good leather shoe. The best way to get the Kindle in is to put it in the two bottom holders first and then lift the top left holder over the top left corner. (It's tight!) I recommend having your Kindle in Sleep mode or Off when doing this and don't press on the screen.
I love my M-edge covers and recommend them highly.

Summary: Practically Perfect in Every Way
Comment: This cover was a birthday present to myself. The cover that came with the Kindle is perfectly fine. This cover is even better, though. The corner holders are great, and I'm still not sure what people are complaining about with access to the switches on the back. It's perfect. The only thing that could be improved is the way the cover sits on the screen. There isn't any additional "padding" for the screen the way there is on the original cover. Well worth the sale price I paid.
