Summary: Excellent Product
Comment: I've been shopping around for a good cordless phone headset for some time. After doing some research and reading alot of reviews I finally settled on the Plantronics M175C headset. After trying it out I am convinced I made the right choice. It has excellent features, including 2 wearing styles, seperate volume controls for receiver and mic, and a mute switch (that you just switch on or off, not keep depressed to work)This device is LOUD and CLEAR. Other devices I've used, I've had to turn the phone and device volume on full. Not with this one. I have a GE phone and keep the volume on 4 (it ranges from 1 to 4) for normal use. But with the Plantronics M175C, I keep my GE phone on volume 1, the headset on lowest setting, and the mic on medium. Everyone I've spoken to says I sound loud and clear. I've even had someone else use the headset and call me so I can hear what it sounds like, and yes, it is crystal clear. I like to wear it over my head as opposed to over the ear. If you like the over the ear style, be aware that the ear bud is not small and will not sit inside your ear. Overall, this is an excellent product.

Summary: Good quality, reliable headset with easy mute switch
Comment: I've been a full-time telecommuter since November 2005, so I am on headset most of the workday, all week long. If you don't need background noise cancellation, and you prefer over-the-ear with boom microphone to stick-it-in-your-ear buds :-) then this is a very good, reliable bet. A quick and easy mute switch / volume control is essential for conference calls, and this design is perfect for that.
In November 2007 Amazon said this model was currently unavailable, so you might have to find the new model number.
